The certifcate and root certificates are installed correctly, but I still have problems (IIS and Exchange)

Install SSLdiag

Many problems with IIS & Exchange can be found by using SSL Diagnostics. By downloading SSL Diagnostics and starting it, an overview is made with SSL-related settings. By going through the contents, it's often easy to figure out what the problem is. Some common notifications are:

#WARNING:CertVerifyCertificateChainPolicy returned error

This means the root- and intermediate certificates aren't installed correctly. This can be resolved by installing the root- and intermediate certificates again, rebooting the server and connecting again.

You DON'T have a private key that corresponds with this certificate

This means the certificate is correctly installed, but the corresponding Private Key cannot be found. This problem can be resolved by reconnecting the private key to the certificate.
